Does it feel like even after you finish a meal you are still hungry? Could you keep eating but know you need to stop? When you “diet” do you feel like it’s never enough food?
If you have trouble overeating or feeling full throughout the day, making sure you get enough water and plenty of fiber every day can really make a difference.
Adding in these two simple habits each day will not only keep you feeling full but will help you reduce your overall calories (and probably help your waistline!)
1. Eat a salad or plate of veggies: Eating a diet with filling, low calorie/high water containing foods will not only help you feel full but also keep you from overeating.
2. Drink at least 2 Liters of water: Did you know that generally most people can’t tell the difference between hunger signals and thirst? Most people don’t drink enough water as it is so setting a goal of getting AT LEAST 2 Liters of water (half a gallon) should help you feel full longer through the day.
Giving yourself more low calorie VOLUME in the form of fibrous and leafy vegetables and keeping yourself well hydrated could be the secret to feeling satisfied AND full and still staying within a healthy calorie range.
